"Cadaver Techniques"

This course is designed for the moderate to advanced implant dentist.  Lectures will include  suturing, soft tissue grafts, bone grafting, socket preservation, ridge augmentation with membrane, CurV techniques, autogenous block grafting, allograft block grafting, sinus grafting techniques, osteotoming and immediate implant placement.  Participants will have the opportunity to perform implant surgery, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting and perform anatomic dissection on Cadavers.

COURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of this course include: learn detailed discussion to evaluate procedural techniques.  Learn step-by-step sinus grafting.  Learn bone grafting techniques.  Learn how to use various membranes, including pre shaped collagen membranes.  Practice soft tissue, bone grafting and implant placement on Cadavers.  Learn the location and protection of vital structures during implant surgeryand bone grafting on the Cadaver.   

LECTURERS

Dr. John Minichetti is a general dentist who has been placing and restoring implants for over 25 years.   He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).  He is a fellow and honorary fellow of the AAID and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/ Implant Dentistry.  Dr. Minichetti is an attending at Englewood Hospital and Meadowlands Hospital  Dr. Minichetti now serves as Vice President of the AAID and has published numerous scientific articles and lectured worldwide.  Private practice in Englewood.

Dr. Edgar El Chaar Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, New York University College of Dentistry; Director of Implant Education, Continuing Dental Education Programs, New York University College of Dentistry; Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology; Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. Founder of the AAID New York Study Club, Director and the EEC Institute that provides  mentor/coaching surgical courses. He serves on the editorial Board and Reviewer for the Journal Oral Implantology. Private Practice in New York City.
